Week 9

Where is this term going!!? I hope you've all have a nice relaxing weekend.

We have a relatively normal week this week (which is nice). Please ensure your child is working on their Eisteddfod as they will be presented on Monday and Tuesday next week.

On Tuesday we have a cricket tournament in the afternoon. All of Room 5 will be attending. Room 5 children are to wear their sports gear and tracksuits to school please. The cricket will be finishing at approximately 2.50 so we will be back to school just after 3. I will organise transport for the bus kids so they are back to school in time. There have been a few parents that have let me know that their child/ren will be leaving from Molyneux Park to go home. Please let me know if you are happy for your child to leave straight from Molyneux Park. I will be walking the rest of the children back to school :)

Thank you all for coming along to the goal setting interviews. I was really impressed with the goals the children had come up with.

We will be attending mass on Friday this week and there is assembly at 2.10.

Hope you all have a great week.

Jo :)

St Patrick's Day

Hi Team,

Sorry I forgot to remind the kids that they can wear GREEN mufti on Monday for St Pat's Day. They don't need to bring anything special for lunch however we might eat our lunch together.

Hope you all have a great weekend :)

Week 5

Wow what a busy week we have this week.

We had an exciting morning making pancakes for Strove Tuesday. We learnt about what Strove Tuesday is and why it is celebrated. We have cricket coaching this afternoon.

Wednesday:
Ash Wednesday Mass at 9.15. It is also the Central Swimming Sports in Cromwell. I will be away with these swimmers so the rest of Room 5 will join up with the rest of Room 6 and Jeremy will be teaching them for the day.

Thursday:
We have our school triathlon up at the swimming pool in the afternoon. Room 5 and 6 will be walking up to the pool at 12 with their bikes (it's ok if you are dropping their bikes there for them). We are aiming to start the first race at 12.45. Children can be picked up from pool but your child must let me know before they leave with you :) The bus children will be transported back to school to catch their buses.

We don't have many helpers for the triathlon so if you are able to help please email me jopassmore@stgerards.school.nz

Friday:
Assembly at 2.10 - feel free to come and join us.

Think that's it. Please come and see me if you have any issues or questions.
