I feel it is appropriate to first of all wish the 'MOM's' of Room 5 a Happy Mother's Day! I hope you all enjoyed today and spent some time cherishing your gorgeous kids.
Important happenings coming up
- Mr Hogue will be in on Tuesday, I have a Maths planning day with Mrs Flannery and Mrs Waldron.
- Assembly lead by Room 4 this Friday, all parents welcome.
- Jerome Kavanagh will be at school leading Haka workshops
- Friday - Parish Mass lead by Rooms 1, 2, and 7. All welcome
- TEACHER ONLY DAY - Monday 16th May
Homework - A reminder to all parents that this year we have a focus on learning our times tables. Please encourage and help your child to make this a regular part of their day/week. Mrs Nicholson found a cool app last week - called Maths Rocks - which we will be integrating into our daily routine to help make learning our tables a little less boring.
Spelling words are a must each week and they are tested every Friday.
I will soon be sending home a mini assignment for the children to complete at home based on our Inquiry questions - Where does our food come from?
That's all for this week, have a good one yourselves,
Carolyn.
P.S. I'm curious - did anyone ever have this feeling at school? I remember it well.
