Room 5 Newsletter:  Term 2, Week 1

Welcome back to school for Term 2.  After a very busy settling in time in Term 1 and a hugely successful camp, we dive straight into Term 2 with a focus on lots of learning and managing ourselves to let this happen. 

I had a nice break with my sisters in Melbourne during the first week of the break and spent last week preparing for our busy term at school.  I hope you all managed to have some quality family time together during the holidays.

Important dates coming up:

*Wednesday 4^th May – Chris Skinner Concert at the Church 10.30 am.

*8^th May – Ascension Sunday and Mothers Day.

* Tuesday 10th May - Maths team planning day, Mr Hogue will be relieving in Room 5

* Thursday 12th May, Kapahaka Workshop, Whole School Taonga Puoru

* Monday 16^th May – Teacher Only Day (Week 3).

* Tuesday 24th May - Lead Teacher Maths Afternoon, Mrs Bennett to relieve

* Wednesday 25th - Rippa Rugby Tournament

*Sunday 29^th May, 9 am, Whole School Mass (End of Week 4).

* Monday 6th June - Queen's Birthday - No School.

There will be more dates to add to the calendar however this is the information I have so far.  Be sure to check the blog each Sunday (or Monday morning) just in case there are short notice postings.  

Chris Skinner Concert:

Our church is privileged to be hosting this special concert by Chris Skinner, this Wednesday morning at 10.30 am. Please support this if you can.

I am looking forward to seeing all 31 of my kiddies again tomorrow.  I love to see how much the children have grown and to hear what they have all gotten up to during the break.
